Every tool advertises a monthly price. Almost none tells you what an hour of finished audio costs, because credits, characters and overages hide it. Here is that number for the major studios, with the arithmetic shown — including where we are not the winner.
The number that matters.
Cheapest to dearest published tier, converted at ~₹85/$. Where a vendor sells characters or credits, 1,000 characters ≈ 1 minute of speech (~150 wpm) — the ratio ElevenLabs itself implies by equating 10,000 credits to about 10 minutes.

The difference that isn't close.
Price between the top few tools is a matter of a few percent. Language coverage is not — and it's the one thing you cannot work around.

When you should pick something else.
A comparison written by one of the contenders is only worth reading if it says this part.
Pick ElevenLabs if…
Raw voice realism is your single priority, or you need to clone a specific voice. It remains the strongest in this group on pure voice quality, and we don't claim to beat it there. TatvaIQ has no voice cloning at all.
Pick Descript if…
Your real job is editing podcasts and video, with voice as one feature among many. It is an editor first; TatvaIQ is a production studio and does not edit your existing footage.
Pick Speechify if…
You mainly want to listen to documents, or its Studio tier's top plan fits your volume — its per-hour cost is within a few percent of ours, so on price alone it is close to a coin toss.
Pick a raw API if…
You are a developer piping text through a script and want the lowest possible per-character rate. Azure and OpenAI can undercut every studio here. You get no interface, no direction, no chapters and no exports.
Pick TatvaIQ if…
You need more than a voice: script, narration, sound, music, AI visuals and a finished video from one project — the whole pipeline a faceless channel or podcast needs, rather than one stage of it.
…or if you publish in Indian languages
Bengali, Marathi and Telugu are not publicly listed by any of the others. If you publish in those, this is currently the only option on this page.
Where the advertised price stops being the price.
Credits that expire
ElevenLabs rolls over roughly two months of unused credits, capped at 3× quota, and forfeits them on downgrade or cancellation. TatvaIQ credits roll into a permanent balance that never expires, including after you cancel.
Free tiers you cannot publish
ElevenLabs' free tier carries no commercial licence and requires attribution; Murf's free tier states "No Commercial Rights" and no downloads. TatvaIQ's free demo adds a short spoken credit; every paid plan is fully commercial.
Paying in dollars
Every tool here except TatvaIQ bills in USD, which means a card that takes international payments plus a forex markup — typically 2–3.5% on Indian cards, on top of the exchange rate.
Re-rendering
Changing your mind usually costs credits again. On TatvaIQ, retries with the same settings, pacing changes and re-mixes are free — audio is cached per line, so editing one line regenerates one line.
